We’ve got a Flying Cucumber cruising over downtown Austin this weekend. This giant cuke is really a blimp advertising Hendrick’s Gin. There’s an associated contest to win a ride by posting photos of the blimp around town.
Last evening the Flying Cucumber hovered above the Congress Avenue Bridge around bat-watching time (aka sunset). It motored past the Austonian and looked down over Sixth Street for a while. Those two droopy eyes make the blimp look more like a sad fish than a cucumber.
