Austinites joined the Austin Fire Department in remembering firefighters and all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 at the annual 9-11 Ceremony this morning.

The Emergency Service Pipes and Drums Association played as the color guard entered the plaza below the Buford Tower.

Current city council member Mike Martinez read a City Proclamation for today.

The names of Austin firefighters (including retirees) who died over the past year were read. A bell was rung after each name was read.
