Even by Austin standards, this has been an impressive week for free downtown entertainment. I realized today that there were no-cost concerts or movies for the past five evenings. This doesn’t even count Blues on the Green (coming up next Wednesday), Unplugged at the Grove (Thursdays), and Music under the Star (next Friday). Here’s what I mean…
Sunday: String quartet from the Austin Symphony (Long Center)
Monday: University of Texas Trombone Choir (Long Center)
Tuesday: The Peterson Brothers at The Wine Down (ACL/Moody Theater)
Wednesday: Otis the Destroyer (band) and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (movie) together at Sound & Cinema (Long Center)
Thursday: The Incredibles (Republic Square Park)
Bonus freebie: Spectacular sunsets every evening!
