The marching band from Del Valle High School stepped off promptly at 9 AM to lead Austin’s Veteran’s Day parade north on Congress Avenue to the Texas State Capitol. A good-sized crowd clapped and cheered for the service men and women who have served our country. Even workers from the under-construction JW Marriott Hotel took a break to watch the parade go by.
