Bill and I celebrated another July 4th in downtown Austin with family and friends. The annual Austin Symphony concert started at 8:30 PM, followed by fireworks an hour later.
Bill created a time-lapse video as folks crowded into Auditorium Shores and boats lined up in Lady Bird Lake. The First Street Bridge and Cesar Chavez were closed to vehicle traffic at 6 PM.
We could hear the music from our apartment’s balcony until the fireworks began. We were disappointed that the fireworks were moved slightly upstream, so our view was partially blocked by a building.
