The annual Gingerbread Village is on display through December 28th in the lobby of the Four Seasons Austin. This year’s theme is Austinopoly, a local interpretation of the classic game, Monopoly. The gingerbread houses and game tokens can be sponsored, with proceeds benefitting the Seton Infusion Center at the Dell Seton Medical Center.
The properties on the game board have been renamed to famous (and infamous) Austin streets and highways. The gingerbread houses honor local businesses and sights which are celebrating milestone anniversaries. For example, Zilker Park—represented by the Zilker Christmas Tree in the center of the village—celebrated 100 years in 2017.
