So many artists, so little time. I headed back out on the East Austin Studio Tour during their second weekend. On Saturday afternoon, I focused on smaller exhibit spaces around East 5th and 6th Streets.
A group of 20 artists calling themselves Austin Art Refugees gathered at the popular music venue, The North Door. My favorite artist here was Eli Halpin.
Down the block on East 5th Street, I perused a photography display inside Knox Photographics.
Unique paintings and lots of prints are for sale at Sebastian Foster on East 6th.
Also on East 6th, The Lion’s Nest specializes in printmaking (including classes), but also has a small gallery with a variety of prints and artwork for sale.
My final destination on East 6th: Clayworks Studio and Gallery. I’ve seen their work at various shows, but had never visited their studio before.
‘Till next year, EAST!
